l Valves are available in an extensive range of design, materials, sizes and pressure classes in accordance with API 6D, ASME B16.34 and NACE (Trunnion Split Body, Side Entry, Top Entry, Fully Welded and Double Block & Bleed) complete with lever or Gear Box Operator. Size: DN 1/2” up to DN 36”. Class: ASME 150 lb. to 2500 lb. A variety of material are available (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex S.S. and another exotic materials) according to ASTM can be used with many different fluids: Crude Oil, Natural Gas, Acids and Sea Water.
Other Special Design can be considered: Fire Safe Design API 607 & API 6FA soft and metal to metal seat to prevent external fluid leakage. Cryogenic Service to minus 196°C complete with extension bonnet is provided to ensure zero leakage.
Inspection and Testing: every valve is subject to a pressure test in accordance with Standard API 598 - API 6D or BS 6755 Part.1 (Fugitive Emission or High Pressure Gas Test upon request). Non-destructive test can be carried out (RX-MT-UT-PT) according to customer’s requirements.
Marking: each valve is identified by own name plate, carries all information on rating, size, valve body and trim material, customer Tag number.
Body Design (Soft Seat)
Soft seat is a standard technical design of ball valves suitable for max operating temperature up to 250°C with non abrasive fluids (e.g. Gas and clean liquids service) otherwise the seat can be damage quickly.
Soft seated ball valves are provided with reinforced PTFE, Nylon, Devlon and Peek insert depending of specific service and pressure class.
Soft seated construction are normally provided with secondary sealing system, injecting a highly dense fluid (grease) into the seating area to stop the leaking in case of damage of the soft insert.
Body Design (Metal to Metal Seat)
Metal to metal seat design is used for special application with abrasive fluids or high temperature and high pressure service.
In this case the ball and seat can be hardfaced by Tungsten Carbide (TC), Cromium Carbide (CC) Stellite 6 or Inconel 625 (corrosion service).
One of the above mentioned solution can be the best solution to enhance the metal to metal seat of ball valves.
Full bore port area equal to adjacent pipe area, allows the same fluid velocity inside the valve such as in the pipeline, reducing the risk of abrasion of the internal parts of the valve.
Trunnion Split Body (Bolted Body)
Trunnion Top Entry
Top Entry ball valves are produced in one piece cast body bolted cover, available in both full and reduce bore design in choice of materials, size and pressure classes which allow an ideal selection for a variety of applications.
Standard construction is in accordance with API 6D butt-welding or flanged ends, soft and metal to metal seated are available.
A variety of material is available: cast carbon steel (ASTM A 216 WCBWCC) - low carbon steel (ASTM A 352 LCB-LCC) forged carbon steel (ASTM A 105) low carbon steel ASTM A 350, LF2 and LF3.
Austenitic stainless steel material, Duplex, Super-duplex, 6Mo upon request. Coating include electroless nickel plating (ENP), overlays of seat pockets or whole surface in contact with the fluid by stellite 6, while Tungsten Carbide coating is required for metal to metal seated valves. Inconel 625 weld overlay on all wetted parts and dynamic seals area can be done (3 mm. finished thickness).
Floating Ball Valves
This type of ball valves is a normal commodity valve for low pressure standard service in alternative to trunnion mounted side entry or top entry ball valves.
The valves are normally produced soft seat sealing design allows the ball floating from upstream to downstream. Most used materials are from carbon steel ASTM A 105, low carbon steel A 350-LF 2 and austenitic stainless steel, Duplex ASTM A 182 F51.
Internals are usually in austenitic stainless steel, with alternate options available, the seats are normally in reinforced PTFE or DEVLON.
For large size Trunnion ball valves is more suitable. Floating ball valve can be produced in 2 or 3 pieces.
Double Block & Bleed
This product consist to put in one single body two ball valves. As each seat independently shuts off line fluid upstream and downstream of the ball, the valve bore and cavity are isolated from each other and the valve is ideal for double block and bleed service.
The seat works independently of each other and two different media can be separated by the valve. The main advantage of DBB plug valves when are used as Isolation valves, because the first plug gives the isolation in up-stream, the second one (in downstream) is also closed, therefore the bleed point can be used to check that no leaking has occurred.
